How We Met
Eric and I met during our freshman year in high school but it wasn’t until our senior year that we started talking and got to know one another more. Eric was so sweet and selfless and I knew immediately that he was my person :) We became a couple on May 1st 2007 and went to prom together and celebrated our high school graduation together. Even though we were young (17-18), I knew Eric and I were meant to be. Eric and I then moved in together soon after graduation and 10 years later we are happier than ever and I am grateful every day to love such a wonderful man and to have him love me back.

To celebrate our 10 year anniversary, Eric and I decided to plan our first trip to Paris. I have always been in love with Paris and wanted to visit for so long. We had always planned on taking a trip during a big milestone, and our 10 year anniversary was the perfect time to go. To commemorate the occasion even further Eric and I discussed hiring a photographer to take pictures of us at the Trocadero. I found Pierre Torset, a sweet and wonderful photographer based in Paris and Eric and I decided he was the one we wanted to capture such a special occasion for us. On the day of the photo shoot (June 8, 2017) we met with Pierre around 5:45 am; we were excited to meet him and I was thrilled to get such beautiful pictures taken. What I didn’t know was that Eric reached out to Pierre separately before we went to Paris to tell him he was planning on proposing!
So we met Pierre and he took pictures of us together and then asked me to take some on my own; excited to get a nice picture of my dress, I, of course, obliged. Pierre then asks Eric to come back to take more pictures of us together; as Pierre begins to take our pictures, Eric begins to tell me how happy he is that we are there, together, in that exact moment and how excited he is to continue to spend the rest of our lives together; I began to process the beautiful moment and next thing I know he is down on one knee asking me to marry him! I was completely surprised as it was very unexpected! I said yes, of course, and now we are planning our wedding for June 8, 2018, the same day we got engaged. He pulled all of this off beautifully, and I feel incredibly blessed to have such a sweet, thoughtful and overall amazing man by my side. <3
