How We Met
Brandon and I had actually met on Facebook. He would message me and I would hardly give him the time of day. I would either be short or not answer at all. Brandon was very persistent, he did not give up. After several months of back and forth, he wouldn’t take no one specific Saturday evening. We actually chatted quite a bit that day, and after some negotiating I agreed to go on a date with him.
We met that night and had our first date at a putt putt golf, played several rounds. We were both so shy and quiet and unsure of how the night was going. Luckily he suggested we go somewhere we could actually talk. We smiled and chatted over a drink and nachos well into the night. Realizing then this was not a one time date.
You always hear about “love at first sight” , I never really believed it until I saw the man of my dreams walking towards me at a putt putt! It was that moment I knew we would me married one day.

Brandon, his mother, and I had scheduled to take Christmas pictures on November 22, 2015. We all woke up that cold morning and met our photographer in Plano at a huge Christmas tree. I had some suspensions about the day because Brandon’s mom had asked me my ring size the day before. On the same hand, Brandon was very good about covering it and making it seem like it was just a normal day. So I really had no idea what was about to happen!
We took several pictures with various poses. Our photographer Rachel suggested we take a break. Brandon went to the car, his mom made a call, and I waited. It was about a 15 minute break before we got stared again. Not even paying attention Brandon turned me towards him (still oblivious as to what is about to happen). He gets on one knee and I begin to cry finally realizing what was happening. I can’t even remember what he said because I was crying so much. It was a fairytale and I wouldn’t have changed it for anything.
Everyone was in on it and planned it so well! We wrapped up the photo shoot and then celebrated over pancakes and coffee, trying to quickly let everyone know what has happened. It was a day I would never forget, and am so lucky to have the wonderful pictures highlighting the unforgettable moment.
