How We Met
John and I met at my sister’s birthday brunch in October 2015. My sister Lauren and John became friends through my sister’s best friend Alex. Alex and John were working at the same company. John and I continued to hang out in groups but it was not until August of 2017 that we went on our first date. We have been together ever since. In May of 2018, John told me about a position that had opened up in his company for a job that would take us from our beloved NYC to Indianapolis. He asked me if I would go with him and of course, I said I would. We moved to Indianapolis in September.
How They Asked
On Friday 12/28 John proposed to me in the pouring rain at the Central Park Reservoir on the Upper East Side. John lived on the Upper East Side so that is where we spent a lot of our time when we lived in New York. He hired a photographer to capture the moment and had arranged a dinner with both of our families to celebrate that evening followed by more celebrating with friends at a bar nearby!
