How We Met
James and I met our sophomore year of high school in 2011. I went to an all-girls school and he went to an all-boys school. James is also known as “Jimbo” was a superstar basketball player at Saint Joe’s High School. He was very well known especially with his nickname. He played varsity as a freshman so he automatically stood out to me. I was introduced to him at our high school dance and we instantly fell for each other.
The day we met we were instantly in love with each other! Not kidding, we exchanged phone numbers and dated a month later and have been together ever since. We have now been together for nine years. We grew up with each other shaping each other’s lives and experiencing everything together.
How They Asked
On January 16, 2020, James got down on one knee at the Ritz in London- my dream hotel. He collaborated with the proposers who set up this incredible room with giant letters spelling out “Marry Me”. That night James surprised me with a dinner at the Ritz which was very special already.
Little did I know as he was bringing me to the dining room we ended up going into another room which leads to the Marie Antionette room with this stunning setup. I was in shock. I always knew James would go out for me but not like this! It was unbelievable and unforgettable. It was everything I have ever dreamed of and more! We celebrated with lots of tears and champagne! It was truly magical!!!
