How we met
It was a rainy day and I had just gotten my haircut. My good friend wanted to grab lunch at our favorite Mexican restaurant, but I remember I wasn’t really in the mood. After some persuasion, I decided to just get up and go! When I arrived at the restaurant, I was surprised to see a group of 12 people at the same table with my friend. Turns out, my friend invited his colleague, who invited a bunch of his college friends. I immediately locked eyes with Brad who was at the total opposite end of the table and was instantly attracted to him. I told my friend that I thought the guy at the end of the table was cute, and he passed the message along to Brad. Brad asked for my phone number and called me later that evening to go on a date and the rest was history! There is never a dull moment when Brad and I are together. We are constantly making each other laugh. When things get hard, we are each others number one support and cheerleader. We try to make the most of each and every day. Brad and I absolutely love to travel whenever an opportunity arises, we recently just went to Greece for two weeks and it was amazing! We both share many passions and hobbies which is what I think makes our relationship truly unique. We love to do anything that involves water – going to the beach, spending time on Brad’s family’s boat, fishing, etc. I think it is really important to enjoy the same hobbies as your partner, it helps to keep things adventurous and exciting!
I know this may sound cheesy, but I knew that Brad was the one from the very beginning. He genuinely cares so much about me and will do anything to make me happy. He pushes me to be the very best person that I can be. After almost four years together, I still get butterflies each and every time we kiss! There is nothing in this world that I wouldn’t do for him. He is the most important person in the world to me. When you know, you just know. Life is so crazy beautiful sometimes.
how they asked
Oh my goodness, this was the best day of my life! Brad totally tricked me. I thought I was going to a work event on Cinco De Mayo. I am a Real Estate Agent so when I saw an invitation in my inbox to a brokers open at the Four Seasons Hotel in Baltimore, I just about freaked. (And yes, Brad actually took time to create a fake e-vite and had my colleague send to me).The Four Seasons is our absolute FAVORITE hotel in Baltimore so I was super excited. My colleague was in on the surprise too (thanks, Liz) as she and I took an uber to the “event” together. When we got there, the hotel staff offered to give us a tour of the facilities before going upstairs to the event. Since I have already been to the hotel many times, I was a little reluctant and was eager to just go straight to the event. The hotel staff insisted on us seeing the outside pool. Well, it was a SUPER windy day and pretty cold outside. Of course, I didn’t really want to go look at the pool but they insisted so I went.
They told me to turn the corner and there I saw Brad at the end of the courtyard rooftop, standing there with rose petals, candles and a photographer to capture the moment! When Brad got down on one knee I was the happiest girl in the entire universe.
A couple minutes after I said yes, out walks my mom and then both of our families! We celebrated with champagne and then all went out to dinner. It was such a magical moment that I will never forget! The ring is absolutely STUNNING! Brad got me an oval solitaire diamond with a diamond band. I always knew I loved oval rings because it elongates my fingers, making them appear longer than they are.
He did a really amazing job, it is literally my dream ring. I catch myself staring at it every single day. It is the most sparkly ring I have ever seen! I am truly obsessed.
