How We Met

I moved to San Diego in the summer of 2016 and joined a local running group my good friend hosted. Our mutual friend introduced us and I remained to focus on my running and adjustment to the new city. After a year of chasing me, I finally slowed down enough to see what an amazing guy he is, right in front of me!

We dated, and moved in together and life was so amazing with him! We traveled, met each other families, and supported each other’s goals. He is kind-hearted, patient, funny and so affectionate! It didn’t take long for us to express our love to each other.

How They Asked

One of our favorite things to do is check out different wineries. We enjoy wine and traveling up the coast and discovering all of California’s lovely wine “gems”. We had a trip planned to Paso Robles. We had dinner reservations at an Italian restaurant which is my favorite cuisine. He was acting really nervous and kept drinking a lot of water. He even went to the bathroom a few times (practice his speech he later told me). He finally uttered some words that were incomprehensible. I asked him if he was ok and that’s when he got on one knee.

He asked me to be his wife and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He was so nervous I had to grab his face for him to calm down. The waiter took all the photos and then brought us glasses of champagne. We FaceTimed our families and celebrated all night with the locals and other people congratulating us! It was a surreal weekend!
