How They Asked
We often do photo shoots with our friends to help them with their portfolios, websites, or social media when they are looking to do couple-pictures. Our favorite photographer and good friend texted me and asked me if we could do a shoot. Little did I know, Michael & the photographer had it all planned out.
When the photographer found the perfect spot, she told him that the view was gorgeous, which was their code for Michael to put the ring box in his pocket. She had us do several different shots and then posed me in front of Michael. We were posing, and the photographer told me to turn around and face Michael. When I turned around, he was down on one knee crying.
I was so surprised that I could not stop crying and smiling at the same time. Everything went into slow motion. A few minutes went by when I was able to realize that I had a fiancé and a ring on my finger. Now I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and love of my life.
Paris Proposal
Javier: I had planned this proposal way before Michael proposed to me. I had a dream of going to Paris since I was a little kid and I knew it was the perfect time to propose. However, I had no idea Michael would propose a couple of months before.
I made a promise with my best friend in 2nd grade that the only reasons we would go to Paris were if we were going together, for our honeymoon or getting engaged. A promise that years and years later we still have kept and now I have made it happen. I knew Michael was the one from the beginning!
