How We Met
I was a sophomore and Peter was a freshman at the University of Houston. We both just joined a fraternity and sorority and it was the night of his fraternity’s probate (a revealing of the new members). Our mutual friend introduced us after the event and we instantly connected. After seeing each other at other events and parties, we eventually began going on dates. The rest is history :)
How They Asked
It was our first time traveling to Breckenridge, Colorado. One of the places we always looked forward to visiting. On the day of the proposal, Peter told me he was going to spend the day with his friend for “guy time.” Meanwhile, I was going to get brunch and shop with Peter’s sister and some friends. After a long day of going around town, Peter’s sister suggested the idea of taking super cute Instagram photos!
I’m always down for that but was wondering why we were driving 20 minutes out and going uphill haha. We finally made our way to a beautiful spot called Sapphire Point. Once we got to Sapphire Point, I saw Peter and a photographer. He gave his speech and popped the question… I said yes and cried! The moment, the ring, everything was perfect.
This was the happiest day of my life and I love that it was such a surprise. I’m so excited to spend the rest of my life with him.
