Janelle and Bret's Fly Fishing Proposal

How We Met: Bret and I met in a very unique way. My brothers and Dad were attending the Country Music Festival in Nashville, TN. Bret came down looking for a seat and my dad points and says “Hey there is a spot here!” The next thing you know they are making small talk and go out for lunch the next day. They actually came back to Minnesota after that trip and said “Janelle I think we met your future husband”. One month later I visit Nashville for the first time for an engagement shoot that I was photographing. We all get together for some line dancing downtown, and the rest is history. Spent the next year being long distance until we married October 17th, 2014. I could not have dreamt up a more perfect man for me. He is everything and more than I could have imagined and now we are fixing up a small little farmhouse in Nashville with 23 acres for us and our puppy to enjoy.

how they asked: He had planned a date to take me fly fishing one early morning in April. We woke up at 5am, drove to a small town, grabbed some breakfast and headed to a river. He threw out a cast and handed me the rod to reel it in. When I turned around he was on one knee and popped the big question. We had champagne and he surprised me with the news that we were flying to my home town in Minnesota to see my family. When we arrived there was a huge surprise engagement party with our closest friends and family. It was everything I could have dreamed for and more.
