How We Met
We both ended up switching majors in college to the same one and had classes together for a couple of years. During that whole time, NEITHER of us made a move. On the very last day of college, I finally worked up the courage to give him my phone (which is HUGE for me) and he gave me his email 🤦🏻♀️. I definitely thought I messed up and he wasn’t interested at all. We ended up emailing back and forth a couple of months later and I finally just gave him my phone number. He texted me the next day and then after talking for a while he asked me on a date and the rest is history!
How They Asked
We were on a much-needed vacation in 2020 (staying safely with his grandparents at their home in Colorado instead of in a hotel, as we’re from Nebraska). We’ve always loved hiking and state parks, and his grandpa told us about Castlewood Canyon, which was a short drive away. We were wandering around and I was taking photos, as I’m a professional photographer, when he started asking about my camera and if it could take multiple photos on a ten-second timer. Unfortunately, it can only take one. We set it up and took some photos together, but he kept asking to take “just one more” which was a little weird, as I’m usually the one who wants to take more. I obliged and we kept doing it until he ran back from setting the timer again and got down on one knee and asked me to be his adventure partner for life 🥰 Our wedding is set for 2021 and we couldn’t be happier
