How We Met
We originally met at the Boutwell Auditorium in downtown Birmingham, AL. At that time our church was having worship service there. In the beginning, we never really said anything to eachother. We would just smile and speak anytime we crossed paths. Shortly thereafter, we added eachother on Facebook and like each other’s posts and pictures for a year. After a year, I finally got the courage to message her and the rest is history.
How They Asked
My Birthday is May 31st so Trenita was under the impression that my parents we having me a surprise birthday party. I decided to propose to her in the heart of Birmingham not too far from where we originally met. Her mom was with her the majority of the day so she wouldn’t think anything out of the ordinary.
I had invited all of our family and friends to meet us in front of the theatre where the marquee read, “Now Playing Trenita Will You Marry Me Directed By James Parker”. She thought she was on her way to a surprise party for me but little did she know I had planned to ask her the question of a lifetime…… And she said YES!
