Jon and I met through Tinder in 2015 (yes, we swiped right)! After dating for a little over a year, we moved in together in summer 2016, and he proposed on October 28th, 2017. 6 months before the proposal, I planned a holiday photo shoot with a friend of mine who is also a photographer. Unknown to me, Jonathan messaged the photographer the morning of our photo shoot (while I was getting my nails done) to let her in on his plan to propose. When we got to the photo shoot location, the photographer suggested that we stand back to back and do some silly poses – like Charlie’s Angels poses – to get our nerves out.
After a few of those, she suggested that I stay with my back to Jon and have him wrap his around me fo our first “serious” photo. As I was waiting for Jon to wrap his arms around me, I heard him say “I think I like this pose a little better…” I turned around to see him on one knee with my dream ring – a pear shaped rose gold ring! After being in shock, nearly running away from the surprise, and crying hysterically, I said “YES!”
