How We Met
We officially met when I worked at Speedway with his younger brother. But we never talked until about a year later. In February 2016 I sent him a friend request on Facebook and a couple days later he added me on Snapchat.
I took the first step and sent him a Snapchat saying hi! One thing led to another and we went on our first date February 27, 2017 we went to eat at Applebee’s and to the movies to watch Deadpool. We ended up running into his older sister and her boyfriend at Applebee’s, which embarrassed my sweet shy Jacob.
And on March 6th, we made it official and started on this amazing journey together!
how they asked
We are both huge NASCAR fans and love traveling to the races. In 2017 we went to 5 races!
On October 28, 2017 we travelled to Martinsville, VA for the First Data 500. Jacobs family-his mom, step dad, older sister, and her husband-also went with us. Little did I know, Jacob had bought track passes for us and his sister to go onto the track to watch the drivers being introduced. His original plan was to pop the question there on the track but due to rain, the race being delayed, and a ton of people being there he decided to wait.
Fast-forward to the beginning of the race, the prayer was said and the National anthem sang, the US Air Force was doing their normal flyover and Jacob asked me to be his wife right there in our seats surrounded by his family. He was so nervous, poor thing sounded like he was about to vomit. Of course I said yes!
On May 12, 2018 I am saying I DO to the love of my life and my best friend!!
