How we met: August of 2004 I began middle school, I was awkward and nervous, and didn’t know too many people in my grade. I went into my geography class, sat down at the table I was assigned to and started my school work. I noticed this girl sitting across from me and we talked throughout the school year. Little did I know that this girl would become one of my best friends for all of grade school.
In the spring of our sophomore year of college we both went to dinner with another friend from high school and decided that we needed to get coffee to catch up. This coffee date led to many more coffee dates and times that we would hang out. Eventually I began to go to church with Keely in Atlanta and our hangouts became a regular thing. After a month or so we began to date and the rest is history.
how they asked: On September 28, 2014 I told Keely that we were going on a date to celebrate our seventeen-month anniversary. She knew that we would be going for a walk, but had no idea what this walk would entail. Halfway through our walk I left Keely with a few notes along the way and a video waiting for her. After Keely watched the video I walked up and proposed to her.
I couldn’t be more excited to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. I have no idea what God has in store for us, but I rest assured knowing that I will be holding Keely’s hand no matter where He leads us.
