How we Met
From the Groom: I met Alex when we were 12 years old.. We were standing on a street corner waiting for the crosswalk when we both began humming the same song. I remember we both turned our heads and looked at each other, her eyes were wide, and she had a beautiful smile on her face. I spent the next 10 years doing everything I could to see that smile again and again. We’ve been best friends ever since, I cant wait to spend my life with her.

From the Bride: A couple months before the proposal, I decided I wanted to visit my sisters in San Diego and without hesitation Jacob and I booked our flights and hotel. The day of the proposal my boss (who was also in on it) let me go early so i decided to get my make- up done. Our flight left at 4:45 and we barely made it there with 10 minutes to spare (oops). I remember thinking that Jacob was mad at me because he hadn’t said a word to me the moment we got to the airport until we arrived on Sunset Cliffs. I learned later on, he was so nervous about the proposal. My sisters told me to be ready and wear something dressy because we were going to a nice restaurant as soon as our flight landed. Once we got to the Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, my sister Samantha told me that a shuttle was picking us up to go to the restaurant.
Without questioning her, Jacob, myself, and my sister walked along the cliff and what I thought was us looking for a perfect spot to snap a picture, was actually a set up. There were rose petals in heart shape with candles, and the love of my life down on one knee asking me to spend his life with him.
And I thought that was the end of the surprises until I turned around and saw my entire family running towards me. It was genuinely the most amazing moment in my life and I feel so lucky to spend my life with my best friend.
