How We Met
Matt and I met at Texas A&M in 2010 during our sophomore year. After ending up in every class together for a semester, we became study buddies and good friends. From there, our lives continued to parallel each other through our undergraduate years as we inadvertently chose the same major, classes, and professors. We quickly grew to become great friends, and shared everything together (including our birthday…what are the chances?!). We moved from friendship to dating while on an internship our senior year, and have been inseparable ever since. After finishing graduate school together, our relationship only grew stronger while beginning both our careers in tax consulting.
how they asked
Matt proposed in College Station at the location where he first told me he loved me two years before. All of our friends and family had traveled to there to help him put on this epic surprise, as were a violist and harpist from the Houston symphony, a photographer and videographer, and hundreds of my favorite flowers – red roses. He had hung dozens of pictures of our relationship from the rose covered trellises that lined the walkway to where he stood. If everything else hadn’t already triggered the waterworks, seeing the years of wonderful memories we had together surely did! Words really won’t do it justice!
