How We Met
We actually met through Instagram. I knew of Jackie but never had talked to her. She had Jeremiah 29:11 in her bio on Instagram so I direct messaged her “Jeremiah 29” and the rest is history from there. That is why that verse means so much to us because it literally brought us together.
how they asked
The verse Jeremiah 29:11 is actually the reason that we met, so I wanted to incorporate that into the proposal somehow. I wanted her to have an entire day to do everything she loves with the people she loves, and feel like the amazing woman that she is all day. So I sent her on a planned day with pieces of the scripture “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to give you hope and a future” in each note, highlighted in gold.
She went to brunch with her friends, shopping with my sister and sister in law for a dress for the night, got her eyelashes done (which originally that was supposed to be mani/pedi but had to change it because she got them done the day before), went to dinner Maggianos (our favorite spot) with her family. After dinner, she got blindfolded and put into a limo with her mom. Not knowing where she was going she was driven to Cornerstone Park.
As she stepped out of the limo, still blindfolded, as soon as her mom unveiled her eyes our song “Castle on the Hill” by Ed Sheeran played throughout the park. She walked down a pathway filled with everyone that was a part of the day all the way to me where I could propose to the woman of my dreams, with “and a future” behind us.
