We’re high school sweethearts! We started dating just before senior year and now, 6 1/2 years later, he finally popped the question.
How They Asked
He planned a couple’s photoshoots as a late birthday present for me (which is completely up my alley) so I didn’t think too much of it. As I was getting ready for what I thought would be simply photos, I started to get nervous – I think something told me this was going to happen, although I didn’t believe it fully because I didn’t want to get my hopes up.
So we showed up at the beach for the photos, went through a series of poses, and before I knew it we went back-to-back for a shot and then I turn around, and there he is, on one knee, asking me to marry him!!! AH. We both started crying instantly. It was an obvious yes. Afterward, I came home to a house full of our closest family and friends. Best day ever!!
