Our love story started on social media. It didn’t take long before we found out we both attended the same high school. We were quick to meet up and were going on steady dates with late camp fire nights.

After a long long 8 years of waiting. I never made the jump without her family’s blessing. Final the day came around where her mother said it’s time. I had our family fly out from Chicago and Iowa on “vacation”. I booked a cabana and Omni spa In Scottsdale. Once everyone arrive I took her aside to the lager water fountain in the front. She had no idea it was coming since she was under the impression her family wouldn’t approve. I got so nervous I couldn’t even get the words out although we’ve been together for 8 years. Of course I was still nervous. After what seemed to be a long moment she broke into tears and said yes. We spent the rest of the day celebrating at the spa. If you haven’t checked out Omni it’s worth it.
