how we met
We met all the way back in 8th grade through a mutual friend. We sadly drifted apart but reconnected 8 years later. I decided to reach out to Hailey after hearing about her mother passing away. It turns out she worked with my dad at the same company! We met up for coffee the next day and the rest is history.

Our proposal story is one we will NEVER forget. It was on Sunday December 1st, 2019, also the same day as the biggest ice storm we had all winter. We had planned to take winter couple photos with Kat, we wanted to keep on the tradition of sending out Holiday Cards like we did the following year! Little did I know Hailey was secretly planning on proposing the whole time. That morning while we were getting ready, we got hit with the biggest ice storm. The power went out for 3 hours, at this point I figured there was no way we were getting our photos done. I had no way to get ready with no power!!! Thankfully at the last possible moment the power turned back on. We finished getting ready and head to downtown Paris Ontario. It was absolutely freezing but everything looked beautiful ice covered. We started taking our photos in front of the river when all of a sudden Hailey dropped to one knee and proposed. I was so shocked .It was such a special moment and I am so happy Kat was able to capture it for us, especially in a crazy ice storm!
My ring has the greatest story of all. Sadly in 2017, Hailey lost her mother. Her parents were married for over 30 years and shared a beautiful marriage together. Hailey’s mom left her her engagement ring after passing in hopes to give it to the right person one day. Hailey proposed to me with that ring. It has been the greatest honour wearing it everyday.
