How We Met
we met in high school, she was the social butterfly and I was the introvert. we had mutual friends and eventually got to know each other. as time does, we eventually went our separate ways. 6 years after we parted, we reconnected via social media (after one too many beers on one of our parts – I won’t say who 😉). we couldn’t deny that there was definitely still a connection there… and the rest is history!
How They Asked
my fiancée works in the wedding film industry, and often works alongside one of my favorite photographers, @ambervisionphoto. she told me that amber wanted to photograph us at the beautiful haiku mill to help build her portfolio for the venue. I’ve dreamed of getting married at haiku mill for years so I obviously agreed and was beyond excited. November 17th has always been a special day for us.
it was the day we first started dating in high school. I’ll never forget her words when she asked: “13 years ago today I asked you to be my girlfriend, so today, Jordyn Noelle Kaga, will you marry me?” I could not have dreamed up a more perfect day and a more perfect person to spend forever with.
