How We Met
Natoshia: Who would have thought running into an old college friend during spring break 2019 would blossom into spending the rest of our life’s with one another? After several months of catching up, spending time, and getting to know one another all over again we both started to realize we were made for each other in so many ways. We literally became inseparable and created a friendship that could never be broken, so at that point that’s when we decided to make it official. As time passed our bond became stronger and stronger and we both realized that this was forever and I knew I could not live without her. My whole life changed on the night of May 21st, 2020 about a year and 2 months later from the day we ran into one another, Fatima and I were just spending an evening together just talking and laughing about life and the next thing I know she popped the questioned and asked me if I would spend the rest of my life with her. I knew from that day forward when I said “YES” that my life would be forever complete with my best friend and soulmate by my side.
Fatima: I met Natoshia in the summer of 2008 while we were in college. Some time passed and we ended up losing contact. I was in a parking lot one day walking to my car when I saw her, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to speak to her again so I called out her name. We spoke for a couple hours in the parking lot and the sparks came flying. The hours turned into days, days into months and quickly i was seeing that i wanted her in my life forever. She came in and quickly made me see that life without her just wouldn’t be the same. Fast forward to the day I proposed… I had the ring for a few weeks and was planning on an extravagant proposal but as we sat talking one night something in me told me it was time to ask. I couldn’t hold it in anymore and felt it was the time for me to ask her if she’d marry me. Thankfully she said yes and has since filled a part of my heart I didn’t know existed.
How They Asked
Fatima: I was actually in the planning phase. I had the ring for a few weeks and was trying to figure out when and where to pop the question. However, we were up talking one night and it just felt right, I couldn’t hold it in anymore. Something in me said it was time. I grabbed the ring and asked her. She didn’t see it coming and was very surprised.
