How We Met
We met in 2017 at the hospital we both worked at, me a nurse and he a physical therapist. In 2019 we made it official! We met for dinner and he had brought toys and treats for my Goldendoodle, Henry. I couldn’t resist him after that! 😂 We bonded over our love for food and cooking, and still to this day our “date nights” definitely somehow revolve around food!
How They Asked
We were at home, hosting about 40 friends and family members for my birthday! We had a 70s Disco theme party. We were all outside mingling and talking, and Justin walked up with a box asking “did you order a cake??” I was so confused and said “No?” Thought maybe someone sent a cake just to be nice. I opened the box and there was this little white cake with a topper of a man and a woman kissing and two dogs.
I knew exactly at that point what was going on. I look at him and he got down on one knee and said “Holli, will you marry me?” I can’t even remember if I said yes I just nodded my head and cried! The ring was absolutely perfect. I was so surprised, I didn’t think he would do it in front of so many people! But super happy because it made it all the more special to have our friends and family witness it.
