Hillary and Kevin

How We Met: Kevin and I met through Match.com- I technically found him although he likes to claim he saw my profile way before I messaged him, but was too scared to reach out to me.  We messaged one another for a few weeks before exchanging phone numbers and the first time we talked- it was one of those 3 hour long phone calls that make you feel like you’re 16 again, that makes your face hurt from smiling so much.  We decided to meet the next night for a drink- both of us were extremely nervous- but had an amazing time talking.  On the way home I got the full on butterflies and just had some weird feeling that this was the guy I was going to end up marrying.  We’ve been inseparable ever since.

how they asked: Kevin was making a big deal out of our Year and a Half Anniversary- and insisted that we make plans for dinner at a place close to our house.  After a long day at work, the last thing I wanted to do was go home and get dressed up for dinner- but I knew he really wanted to eat at this particular restaurant, so I did.  For some odd reason, he parked far away from the restaurant, but said it was because it was so busy looking on that end of the parking lot.  Not paying attention I went along with it when he stopped us walking and said- “let’s go over by the brewery” (where we met for our first date)… I said no, because it was out of the way and I was starving, but he looked so sad I said “ok ok!”

He stopped me right out in front of the brewery and grabbed my hands.  He started off saying “this is the exact spot where I saw you for the first time.  This is when I knew you were going to be my wife.”  He then got down on one knee, and I started crying and shaking- I can’t remember exactly what happened next but I know he said my whole name and pulled my dream ring out of his pocket.

The entire restaurant patio broke out in a cheer as I said yes- it was then that I noticed one of his friends hiding behind the fountain taking pictures of the entire thing.
