Heather and Mark

Where to Propose in Carolina Beach Pier

How We Met

I met Mark in 2015. I remember the very first time I saw him, I left a the restaurant he was in and called my friend to let her know “I found my boyfriend”..little did I know, that was the truth! Mark and I have been together since! I have always heard you have a soul mate and Mark fits like a puzzle piece! I can’t wait to marry my best friend on April 6, 2019!

Here are a few of our favorite pics from our engagement shoot, Yasmin Leonard is phenomenal!

Heather's Proposal in Carolina Beach Pier

how they asked

We had planned to have an oyster roast and had invited friends and family to the beach for the weekend. The day of we all decided to visit the pier to relax before our event. The pier was actually closed that day, they were hosting a fund raiser for a fire that had happened in our community. The third floor is where the event was being held. Mark told me we should go out on the pier for a minute to see if we could find his dad. I did not even notice that everyone else had went upstairs on the balcony overlooking the pier. Once we walked out, mark dropped down on one knee! My heart could have exploded with excitement! I couldn’t say yes fast enough! I heard people cheering and looked up to see all of our friends and family watching on the balcony. I then realized what the oyster roast was actually for, an engagement party! I could not have asked for a better proposal!
