How We Met
Jordon and I met at work. I always thought he was cute but both of us are very awkward and it took about a year for us to actually start talking. I eventually asked him to go to a local craft beer bar and Jordon ended up singing songs from Top Gun loudly just to make me laugh. Later that night he texted me asking if it was a date and told me that he really wanted it to be a date. We of course had many more dates after that. It quickly became obvious that we were perfect for each other.
A lot has changed since then. We no longer work at the company we met at. We moved in together. When we met Jordon had just gotten a puppy, Cooper, and he has become my very loved dog too. Our life together is full of laughs and silliness, travel adventures, dog cuddles, cooking new recipes together, biking, surprising eachother with silly dollar store gifts and treats, and lots of hugs and lots of love. Everything that I have always wanted Jordon wants too. We go together perfectly and we have so much fun going through life together.
How They Asked
We had planned a trip to Scotland for the first week of April, but when Covid-19 started to escalate, we had to cancel. Little did I know Jordon had been planning to propose on that trip. He came up with a new plan. After the first week of self-isolation, we decided to plan a fun date night at home. Jordon suggested we decorate the basement and get each other “quarantine gifts” just for fun.
When the day came we got all dressed up, covered the basement in string lights, candles, and rose petals. We started the date with craft beer tastings and ordered fancy donuts and sushi. We filmed the whole day and I thought nothing of it because we are always making little videos, whether its for travel or for our monthly 1 Second Everyday videos. After dinner, we danced around the basement and then opened gifts. I got Jordon sweatpants and a mini drone to keep him occupied in isolation. When I opened mine, there was only a note that said “I love you more than anything in this world, and I want you in my life forever. I just have one question to ask…” When I looked up Jordon was getting down on one knee and asking me to marry him. I said yes, obviously. We celebrated with champagne and donuts.
