How We Met
He is a firefighter and I am a police officer. We met on a call for service where someone was trapped in an elevator.
How They Asked
We purchased some acreage that we were planning to build our forever home on. One day after I got off of work, he asked if I would go for a walk with him on our land and future homesite. We took our three dogs and caught the most beautiful sunset. He pulled me to the exact spot on the top of the hill where our home will one day be and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said yes! Then both of our families walked into the field (outside and socially distanced of course) carrying balloons and champagne. We celebrated in true COVID-19 style, six feet apart, outside, with masks on, but it was more perfect than I could have ever asked for.
