Hannah and Long

how they asked: April 12th 2015 was the greatest day of my life. Not only were we celebrating my 21st birthday week but as well as my now fiance’s 8 month anniversary of his brain surgery. My sister who lives in Oregon was down for my birthday, and that night my best friends came over and we did my hair and make up to go to a nice fancy dinner. Well, after dinner we were heading straight to my Aunt and Uncles house where there would be the best surprise in the world awaiting, and to my unknown knowledge where he had been all day with my family setting everything up.

As we pulled up to the house I noticed that the lights were completely off. We walked in, and there was a trail of beautiful candles and pictures starting from our first picture together all the way to our last. Notes and dried flowers hung from the walls, and our past four and half years of memories surrounding us. He then led me outside where there was a rose petal heart on the floor, lights in the trees, and a light up heart on the hill.

My absolute favorite part of it all was having Dean Martin playing in the background in memory of my late father. He gave the most beautiful speech, and then got down on one knee.

He pulled out the most beautiful custom ring I have ever seen. As we walked back in, there coming down the stairs to my surprise were all of our close family and friends. Of course, we were all crying and celebrating the beautiful and magical moment that had just taken place.

I could not have dreamed of a more perfect and romantic proposal. My story does not do it justice.
