How We Met
We met in High School, we graduated together we were bestfriends after high school. Unfortunately a tragedy brought us together as a couple. We got together a couple of months after we strated our first semester of college. We just celebrated being together for 5 years in October.
How They Asked
He had told me we had a date planned and we were going to have a picnic at the park. He took me to the Arboretum which is a local park with all kinds of flowers and trees and butterflies. He had gotten a picnic basket with some goodies inside, including some wine, cheese, and crackers. We picked the perfect spot and laid down the blanket. He put on Luke Combs Better Together on his phone. We were chit-chating about something. Then he told me to stand up and he got on one knee and told me that I was his world and he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. We both started crying I said yes!! Of course. But it was perfect! Just us together. Just us in that moment. Apparently he had a whole different plan that fell through. But I couldn’t have imagined it any other way. He took me to my moms house right after and to my suprise he had planned a whole engagement party with both of our families there. It was a perfect day. I will remember and cherish forever.
