how we met
Jonathon and I met on a week long Habitat for Humanity trip to Amarillo, TX. He was the second driver for our van and I don’t sleep easily in cars, so he says I talked the whole 21 hours. Not sure that’s how I remember it, but it was the start of a life long friendship.
how they asked
I had small suspicions Jonathon would be proposing in the next couple days when my out-of-town sister showed up for no reason. He had set up a backyard dinner and a movie for us too watch for a unusual date night he had planned. What started out as one of my favorite movies and the same meal he made me on our first date, turned in to quite a surprise. Jonathon had been planning if for quite awhile, because he complied a video from some of my favorite people. They all said what they loved about me. While the tears were flowing after several minutes of hearing some humbling words from family and friends, Jonathon’s video ended the movie with THE question. He got down on one knee in front of me and had the beautiful ring sparkling in my face.
