How They Asked
I was on a trip to Paris with some friends and we were supposed to be going on a free tour of Luxembourg Gardens. My one friend said very loudly, “That looks like the Washington monument!” Which was the code phrase and my boyfriend came up the steps out of nowhere! He gave me a rose which he did on our second date and then proposed in French! They had all been planning this for 6 months and I had absolutely no idea!
