Kerrylene and Jesse's Game of Thrones Proposal

How We Met: It was January 4th, 2014. I was at a party with some friends and one of my friends called his cousin in Las Vegas using Face time. His cousin got into a motorcycle accident and he wanted to ask how he was. Suddenly he turned the phone to me and introduced us. He asked for a Face time kiss to make him feel better as a joke and I obliged. That’s how it started. He began to message me on Facebook and even sent me songs to serenade me.

We finally met in person on April 29th, 2014 when he and his son flew to Bologna to meet me and my daughter. They are the same age. We took them around Italy and we just fell in love. He is gentle and has a kind heart. It felt like we have known each other for a long time. A long distance relationship is not easy, but we are committed to each other. We are blessed to be able to see each other a few times a year and travel around Europe. We are working on living in the same zip code. Hopefully soon…

how they asked: My fiance wrote this story about his unique proposal that left me stunned, overwhelmed, amazed and overjoyed. He wrote:

It took a lot of planning but she didn’t suspect anything! She was surprised!

It’s been 6 months since we last saw each other. We are in a long distance relationship for the moment. She lives in Bologna, Italy and I live in Las Vegas. But we have been dating for a year and a half and I felt it was time to pop the question. On Aug 3 2015 I flew to Milan (cheaper to land there than Bologna). She and her daughter drove for 3 hours from Bologna to Milan to pick me up at the airport (wow!)

We spent one night in Biella, 2 nights at Lake Como, drove to Switzerland and then drove back to Bologna. Before we travelled to the United Kingdom, I was able to ask for her mom’s blessing, and on the day of the tour, her dad’s blessing on the phone. They were happy for us. We spent 4 nights in London then flew to Dublin, Ireland.

Aug 12, 2015: We got picked up for our Game of Thrones Locations Tour that took us from Dublin, Ireland to Northern Ireland close to Belfast. We visited locations from the show including Winterfell. During lunch at Paddy’s Barn, I secretly gave the ring to our tour guide Dorothy for her to give to the wolf owners. At the end of the tour, I got crowned King in the North at Inch Abbey (part of the set-up). It was the same place where in the show, Robb Stark’s bannermen pledged fealty to him.

Then on cue, the two direwolves from the show (Summer and Grey Wind) came and were escorted by my fiancée’s daughter, Giulia, and one of them carried the ring!

The banner was unrolled and it contained the words “House Lambio”, a picture of a heart in the middle and the words “Love knows no distance” at the bottom.

I got down on one knee and she was like “What are you doing?”

“Will you marry me?” I asked.

She said “hon, of course!” (which means yes)

Everyone from the tour, who came from all over the world, was also surprised and they clapped and cheered!

I am truly the happiest man on Westeros and Earth!

Thank you Game of Thrones Tours!

A special thank you to Jason and Jacob who helped me pick the ring.

….amazing! After that he took me to Glasgow and Edinburgh in Scotland. Then we took the train back to London, then flew to Bologna then took the train to Rome the next day to celebrate my birthday.

It was the trip of a lifetime! As of the moment he is back in Las Vegas and I am back in Bologna, just patiently waiting until we are together again.
