Gabrielle and Max
how they asked
Max and I have been in a long distance relationship for 3 1/2 years, between the military, college & work something was always keeping us apart. In January I was the one to leave Home when I accepted a job in Walt Disney World, something that had always been a dream of mine! I was devastated to leave Max but he encouraged me to chase my dreams so off I went. When I got to Disney I fell in love with the Grand Floridian resort, the atmosphere, the people, it is just one of my favorite places. Max quickly caught on as I would mention it to him every time we talked!
Little did I know this whole time he was working with my friends to fly all the way from our home state to Florida and COMPLETELY surprise me. It was April 4th and I had dinner plans with my best friend! As I arrived she told me she wanted to show me a spot I had never been to in the Grand Floridian, I followed her up the stairs as the piano man was playing one of my favorite Disney songs. As I stepped foot in front of two French doors, there he was, for the first time in 3 months on the other side of the doors.
I busted through the door ran down the rose petal walkway and right into his arms. After long, he said I just have one question, as he got down on one knee and asked “will you be my happily ever after” with tears I grabbed his face and said YES!! Within moments the firework show in magic kingdom began as we watched from our balcony surrounded by a photographer and friends who made this happen. It was truly the best day ever.
I still feel like Uncle Jessie and Becky from full house and I love every minute of it.
