How We Met
Our relationship began at Applebee’s. There was a new store opening and Josh was a trainer and I just got a new job as a server. There was a house party to celebrate the store opening and Josh was with his best friend who is now his best man. We were on opposite teams playing beer pong and I was listening to this very really cute guy (Josh)discussing football. His best man mentioned something about my home team; The New England Patriots that wasn’t very nice so I came back defending the team and Josh’s jaw dropped open. Apparently, Josh is a die hard too. Later I would find out he told his best man “I’m going to marry that girl”. I wasnt playing hard to get but I wasn’t giving into a relationship so easy. Josh worked day after day for me to notice him and show me what kind of guy he was. He would make lunch at Applebees for me and I always caught his beautiful green eyes staring at me whenever I walked in the kitchen. I finally agreed to go out with him and was hooked ever since.
how they asked
Fast forward 3 1/2 Years later, we are on the beautiful beach of Destin Florida surrounded by white sand and crystal blue water in the back, with Josh’s entire family celebrating his grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. The group of 19 or so of us was on the beach taking family photos chasing the Destin sunset when all of a sudden Josh walked out in front of the family, got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him.
Hearing sobbing from every angle, I ran up to him, tears flooding my eyes and of course, said yes! I later found out, only 3 people knew about the proposal; his mother who helped him pick out the ring, his grandmother because it was very important to him that He had her blessing considering it was their special weekend and his sister who is also his best friend. He had asked his Uncle who had control of the tripod to give him a signal that he would start recording because Josh wanted to make sure he got this moment on video.
Our wedding is planned for April 26th, 2019 and I can’t wait to marry the love of my life. I went ahead to attach the proposal video in case you wanted a good cry today.
