How We Met
Jason and I met in a bar in Hoboken after he had gotten out of work late working construction. I was at the bar with my sister and brother in law when I went to get myself a drink and saw this cute construction worker looking rugged and just so cute! There was a rather sloppy girl at the bar and we ended up laughing together while we waited for our drinks and kept talking all night!

After almost 4 years together, we decided to take a well-deserved vacation to Cuba. Being that my family is from there, it was such a special trip because it would be the first time I would be seeing the place that I had only been able to hear about my whole life. We got there and explored the whole city and while we were walking along El Malecon at night, the seaside walkway that overlooks all of Havana, we decided to stop for some pictures. I sat on the dock scrolling through the pictures we had just taken and as I look up I see Jason had gotten down on one knee. My first reaction was just tears of happiness, but I was hysterical!
I couldn’t believe our moment happened in the most beautiful place on earth and the place that had already meant so much to me. He kept his speech short and sweet and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Of course, I said yes but a few minutes later I finally decided to look down at my hand and fell to my knees when I saw my ring! It was one of those rings I had always saved on Pinterest but didn’t think I’d ever get it when the time came..it was such a fantasy but Jason did SO well and got the ring of my dreams all on his own. Being in Cuba already felt so surreal and special and the fact that Jason proposed there will make it an even more unforgettable trip!
