How We Met
We met 6/15/19 at a bar in North Park (True North). E- I saw him from behind and thought to myself, for sure that guy is probably married. T- I saw her and her friends sitting talking and I prompted my friend to help me break the ice. Which she did, by accidentally spilling Erica’s drink all over her friend. I then came in like a hero to buy her a new drink and deliver napkins. There was an instant connection. Our friends left throughout the night and we closed down the bar. I walked her home and we have pretty much been together since.
How They Asked
We knew that we were going to get married prior to the proposal. We had already been ring shopping and the venue was booked. Tony purposed on 2/15/20 which was our 8 month anniversary. I knew that it would be happening, but not on that day. I thought we were celebrating Valentine’s Day and our anniversary. We both got dressed up and he ordered a fancy Uber to take us to Balboa Park. I didn’t know where we were going until we got there. He proposed in front of the reflection pond. He organized everything including a photographer. It was a VERY special moment. We then went to the Prado for an amazing dinner. Prior to our engagement he went to dinner with my dad to ask for my hand, which for me meant a lot. Everything was so beyond special. We have it on video and I have not watched it without crying.
