Thomas planned for us to go on a double date to The Sugar Sand Festival on Clearwater Beach, FL. He told me that his friend knew someone their that got us in for free and into the lounge area after. As we walked through the exhibit, I was busy admiring and taking pictures of the sculptures. While Thomas and my best friend Michelle were texting everyone to make sure they were in place. After, we started headed around back toward the water which I though was the “lounge.” A girl stopped us as she was taking pictures of the sunset if we could be in the photo and had us head to a sand sculpture. As we walked around to the front, I saw all my family and my best friends come out of hiding. That was when I realized that this was not for just a picture but for me! On the sand sculpture it read, ” Erica Ann Yunka, Will you marry me?” Thomas directed me to the front of the sculpture and started to tell me that he knew from the day we first met that I was someone he could see himself spending the rest of his life with… almost 5 years later here we are!
