How we Met
We knew each other since high school. We were in the marching band at our high school 3 years together, but we weren’t very close at the time. Once I graduated, I saw her posting these “Dubsmashes” on Instagram and I thought it would be fun to challenge her to the funniest dubsmash. After several hours late in the night I was declared the winner, and I said for my prize I’d love her phone number. The rest is history!
how they asked
In November we started ring shopping at Shane Co., and we built her dream ring. What she didn’t know is that I bought it and took it home in secret that day. I needed something to use as a good masquerade and decided Valentine’s Day was a good cover! She loves the beach, and I knew I wanted the moment photographed.
I did some searching on the internet and found a photographer named Ryan Smith in Myrtle Beach. I loved how the photos looked, so we set it up for Valentine’s Day and made the 14 hour drive to Myrtle Beach.
When it came to the moment, she had absolutely no idea and she was completely surprised! It took good planning that definitely paid off, and I’m happy how everything turned out! It couldn’t have been more of a dream proposal for both of us.
