How We Met
My fiancé and I met in 3rd grade when my family and I moved to a new town. We were classmates and on a field trip, he saw me and thought that I was the most beautiful girl in the world and loved me for a day, haha! Then, as we got older I began to fall in love with this classmate and friend when we were juniors in high school. But, it wasn’t until the summer that he was away at basic training that we realized we wanted to be more than friends while sending each other letters.
How They Asked
During the summer of ‘19 as 19-year-olds, my fiancé proposed to me on my fav lake where we were lifeguarding the month before he left for deployment…in the middle of a canoe! Can’t wait to kiss the deployment bye-bye and this man forever. PS since we were in a canoe the phone fell when he tried to take a video of the proposal;)…but, I said yes!
