How We Met: We both grew up in the same small town of Norton, Massachusetts but had never spoken a word to one another throughout all of high school. It wasn’t until he joined the Air Force and was stationed in Germany that we began talking over Facebook. We eventually exchanged numbers and texted often but neither of us thought much of it. After about a year or so he then got stationed in Florida and invited me to come down and visit. I was hesitant at first but thought why not, I could use a vacation! After that weekend, we both knew we wanted to be together and we made it official. Rob and I dated long distance for about 3 months before I decided that I was going to move 1,000 miles away from home to be with him. I can now look back and say that it’s the best decision I’ve ever made!
how they asked: On July 27, 2015 Rob and I went to the beach with our Shar Pei to get professional photos done of the three of us. A few minutes into the shoot, Rob had asked the photographer if he could have a photo of just him and our dog (Bo). I didn’t think much of it until I saw Rob put a lace necklace on our BOY dog! I was really confused at this point.
They both came running back to me and I saw a bag dangling from Bo’s neck and then it clicked…. he was going to propose!!! The bag said “Mom, will you marry dad?” Rob got down on one knee with Bo by his side and asked me to be his wife! Of course, I said YES!!! Unbeknownst to me, Rob had been planning this with our photographer for weeks. I cannot wait to marry the man of my dreams and of course Bo will be in our wedding!
