How We Met
We actually matched on Tinder, but only ended up going on a date because we had mutual friends that encouraged us to meet because they thought we would be a good match. Turns out they were so right! We hit it off immediately with a three-hour lunch date, and the rest is history!
How They Asked
I had seen the trailhead for Spencer’s Meadow many times and had been wanting to check it out for a while. I was finally able to talk my now fiancé into going on the hike with me. I thought it was a casual 8-mile round-trip hike, but it turned out to be closer to 11.5 with 1,900ft of elevation gain!
A quarter of the way up it started to rain, eventually turning to snow at the top. We were underprepared for the conditions and the weather was absolutely miserable, but that didn’t stop him from faking a stop to stretch, pulling out a ring, and asking me to be his wife at the most beautiful mountain meadow.
Despite the snow, hail, rain, and frozen fingers, It ended up being the most perfect day and we cannot wait to be married.
