How We Met: Nate and Emily met turnt up on a Wednesday back in November 2010. They met through mutual friends at the very classy, Infusion Lounge in SF. It quickly whirl winded to first dates involving lots of food. Lots of it.
Since then, the pair have travelled near and far to Hawaii, Las Vegas, Austin, New York, Costa Rica and made many memories along the way. They now live in Oakland, CA with their happy and slightly Insta-famous pup, Kitsu (@hellokitsu).
Emily works in Retail Marketing and Nate is a photographer.
how they asked: Nate proposed on a rainy Saturday afternoon (2/7/15). After a stressful morning at the vet with their pup, he convinced Emily to “take pictures of the city” at Treasure Island, SF. A little suspicious, Emily posed in front of the city skyline while Nate secretly put his camera on record and then instantly got down on one knee!
He then quickly whisked her away for a night in Healdsburg, CA at the posh hotel, h2 and arranged for a romantic private dinner on the patio for just the two of them and Kitsu at Chalkboard restaurant.
Fun fact: the stone used for Emily’s ring once began to Nate’s late grandma and it is a true honor to have her be a part of their true love story.
