How We Met
We met in 2018 at the Chick-fil-A location we work! I had just gotten back from being away for May-July and was telling a manager about the camp I was a staffer at when he walked up to me and introduced himself. I must’ve been staring off into space because he later said the reason why he came up to me was that I needed to smile more. A couple of days later, a coworker was hosting a little gathering at her apartment and that night all we did was talk. About 2 weeks after that night, I had to go back to school an hour away from where we worked. The night before classes started he drove out to visit me, took me to dinner at Olive Garden, then asked me to be his girlfriend before he went back home. This picture was taken about 3 weeks later when I came home from school one weekend.
How They Asked
One of our friends posted on Facebook that she really wanted to take pictures and only had a certain day available. So I messaged her and said that I wanted to take her up on that offer. The day she had available happened to be our 2nd dating anniversary so it worked out great! I set up a time with her, we get dressed all cute and drive to go meet her. We wander around the local gardens and we’re taking pictures, laughing, and just having a good time. I noticed we kept coming back to this one particular spot but I didn’t think anything of it because it had different picture spots. He decides for us to take a picture standing back to back and I agreed.
While taking those pictures, he had the ring in the box, with it opened and I had no idea! After a couple of those, he gets the idea for another picture and says to turn around so I did. At the same time I was turning around, he was dropping down on one knee! I was so surprised, I didn’t know what to do. I just kept saying yes when he asked me four times if I was sure.
At that point I almost started second-guessing myself but I knew he’s the right one so I didn’t worry! I found out not long after that, he had actually talked to our friend and she made the post to only where a couple of people could read it and she had those comment. I honestly had no idea it was going to happen then and I’m so glad it did!
