How We Met
Kyle and I are actually from nearly complete opposite ends of Missouri. In 2016 we met through our childhood best friends at Mizzou. I was going to school there and Kyle was visiting for a football game. Neither one of us had the guts to talk to each other but definitely noticed one another right away. Finally our friends forced us to talk and we really haven’t stopped since. Kyle moved from Iowa to St. Louis (where I am from and now living) the summer of 2018. Kyle has been my absolute dream guy and rock since the day we met.
How They Asked
The topic of engagement came very easy to us. We went ring shopping together for her to give me some ideas about what she liked, but it was up to me to pick the ring. Once I had the perfect ring picked out, it was time to figure out how! Elizabeth had been looking at wedding venues and completely fell in love with Haue Valley and showed me their social media pages. With her parents in the loop, I secretly planned a tour of the venue and asked if I could surprise her there and propose.
Her mom “scheduled a tour” for them to go on, and I told Elizabeth I had to work and wasn’t going to be able to make it. I’ve never been much of a cryer, but as soon as she turned the corner I knew I wasn’t going to be able to contain the tears. The proposal itself, along with the video and photos we got from that day were more amazing than we could have ever imagined.
Special thanks to Jess and Jenn Photography and Applause Weddings for capturing our proposal!
