How We Met
We met over a year ago on a dating app, right before the pandemic really ramped up. I had so much fun talking to him on our first date and had a gut feeling that he was going to be in my life for a while. Not long after that, I knew he was it for me!
How They Asked
Josh is a pilot in the Air Force and was a civilian flight instructor before that. We’ve always talked about how we needed to go flying together! So we had this flight planned for Saturday afternoon in Tulsa. Earlier in the day, I asked him if we could go somewhere afterward. He said that he “had something planned,” so I then began to suspect a little. However, I was completely surprised by how it unfolded…
Before our flight, he had given me a “copilot checklist” with items for takeoff, landing, etc. After we landed, we were walking back to the office and he said “oh wait, there’s an after landing checklist.” And I just kind of laughed, but he handed me another checklist.
At the bottom of the list, it said “say yes and marry the pilot???” As I read it aloud, he got down on one knee, presented me with the most perfect ring, and asked me to marry him! Suffice it to say I HAPPILY accepted! His sister-in-law was also there to capture the moment. 📸
We then went back to his parents’ house, where I was surprised with my family showing up, to celebrate our exciting news with our families!
