How We Met
Elise and I met in October 2018 in Singapore for a university trip when I was studying on the Gold Coast and she was in Melbourne. 1 month later we started dating, and 1 month after that we moved in together. We have been together for over 4 years, and I decided to finally propose (after countless “when are you going to propose” throughout our years together) sooner than expected, as 2023 has been a rough start for us personally so we needed something joyful in our lives!
I booked a room at The Langham, and organized the proposal with My Proposal Co. Keeping a secret from Elise for 2 weeks was the hardest thing to do. But it was worth it in the end! She is over the moon, still in shock and it’s been over a week! Now the fun and stressful excitement of organizing a late 2024 wedding begins!
How They Asked
Ethan proposed on valentines day on the stunning city view terrace suite, at the Langham Melbourne. That afternoon we set off to a suprise hotel Ethan had booked for our romantic night away. When we arrived at the Langham, the concierge escorted us up to the club lounge where a beautiful and yummy high tea arrangement was waiting for us with champagne shortly after.
Once we got inside the hotel room, Ethan opened the curtains to the terrace. On the terrace was the most beautiful proposal set up with the words “marry me” with pink petals and a sheer carpet with candles. We walked outside and down the carpet in the background “our” song was playing. Ethan got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!
