How We Met
Greg and I met in college and were friends for a while before we started dating. The first picture Greg ever took of me was under a tree at Blithewold Mansion which was all lit up for Christmas. Fast forward a few months, and our first date was in Newport at a great Italian restaurant!
How They Asked
After dating for close to five years, Greg took me back to the restaurant where we had our first date and then to Blithewold Mansion to stroll and see the Christmas lights. When we came to the tree in the front I commented that it was the same one he took that first picture of me under. He said he wanted to get another! I stood under the tree and then he said he wanted to get one of both of us so he pretended to prop up his phone on his hat and came to stand next to me.
When I turned to smile at him he said he had an early Christmas present for me and got down on one knee. Going back to where it all began made this moment so special ❤️ Since we started dating Greg has bought a bottle of champagne for every special celebration and we keep the cork as a memory. This cork is my favorite one of them all 🍾💍
