How We Met
We met on an online dating app called Bumble. Dev’s profile bio said that “I’m scared of bees” and I found that funny and ironic since he was on a dating app with a bumblebee as their logo, so I decided to give him a buzz!
How They Asked
We met in the winter months of 2017 and from the beginning found that we had a common love of the outdoors and adventure. We started a running bucket list of things we wanted to do at least once in our life. I dreamed of watching the sunrise from the Lincoln Memorial overlooking the reflecting pool. Dev knew that this would be the perfect place to get down on one knee and ask if I would like to spend the rest of our lives together. As Dev was planning the proposal, he knew he wanted to have people near and dear to both of our hearts there for the big moment, but with COVID-19, he knew that protecting our loved ones was more important.
So he did the next best thing and made sure that Kirby, my childhood furry best friend of 13 years was there for this big moment. The ring also played a very important part in our story, as it captures the vintage elegance and unique nature of our relationship. In the midst of all the excitement we missed the sunrise and will have to wake before the crack of dawn to cross it off the bucket list another time. Nevertheless, we still had the best views hands down as we held each other in our arms.
