Arjan and I had been dating for 4 years. Over the years, we had talked about marriage, kids, and envisioned a future, a dream together. It wasn’t until June 2016 when he asked my parents for my hand, and their blessings to propose. He planned our very first trip together, and off to beautiful Vancouver, BC we went. In Stanley Park, my best friend asked me to marry him and of course I said “yes” to forever.
