How We Met
John and I met while working together, although it wasn’t until running into each other at a local bar that a casual flirtation began, we kept our relationship under wraps for seven months . . . it was a common opinion that the companies owner had a bit of a “crush” on John. So ultimately, after going public with our relationship, I moved onto other opportunities, skipping all the soap opera work place drama!
How They Asked
John proposed in the most *gorgeous* private spot in Santorini. While we had several romantic activities planned, wine tasting, boat days, etc, John opted to do it when it was just him and I on our way to dinner one night. I’m low key and he knew I wanted it to just be a moment between him and I.
On the walk to dinner John kept asking If I wanted a picture, and kept saying “not here, I want to make sure no one else is in the photo” so we kept walking and walking. Eventually we popped onto a hotel patio where I convinced him to give up and just let me take a picture of him – turns out he didn’t want a photo – he wanted a crowd free spot.
I have the best photo of him moments before asking – the backdrop is insane. It was wonderful. The next night we celebrated at the most lavish winery and took a beautiful engagement photo in front of the Santorini sunset.
For someone who’s never believed in fairy tales – I got a VERY fairy tale like proposal.
We later celebrated our engagement back home with a intimate brunch at our favorite local spot.
